Angela Simmons Photographed in Virgos Lounge AGAIN thanks to Stylist Kanayo Ebi!

Thanks to hip Nigerian-American fashion stylist Kanayo Ebi, Angela Simmons was photographed out and about in a Virgos Lounge bustier and high-waist floral print skirt! (FYI: Kanayo was with Angela! She’s in the background rocking the haute shades!) I love that Angela continues to show love to the Nigerian/London-based womenswear collection! Angela’s floral print crop top and skirt is sold separately on VirgosLounge.com.

Kudos to Kanayo for continuing to style Angela in Virgos Lounge. I’m eager to see which look she’ll wear next from the collection. Speaking of which this is not the first time Angela has embraced the successful label. Virgos Lounge has expanded their brand to be sold at Topshop. Here’s a brief recap on Angela wearing Virgos Lounge in the past…

At the launch of her new business venture – a hair called Indique, Angela stepped out in a beaded, sequin Virgos Lounge jacket that Nigerian fashion blogger Adaku from Third Word Profashional (aka my Naija fashionista BFF in my head, lol!) was also seen in! According to VirgosLounge.com, the jacket named Aggy is currently sold out! So CulturalToast.com, which lady rocked this jacket the best – Adaku or Angela?

Which Angela Simmons in Virgos Lounge look is your favorite?

Cultural Loop: Black Models Dominates NYFW, Joy Adaeze’s Jewel By Lisa Style Moment, Nyasha Matonhodze for 10 Crosby Derek Lam & Liya Kebede for Bottega Veneta & H&M

This new edition of Cultural Loop highlights New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 wrap-up featuring two top black models, a high-profile online campaign, the buzz on Jewel By Lisa beaded clutches at NYFW and of course a department franchise’s new boutique.

Black models Nnenna Agba and Nyasha Matonhodze dominated New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 at Lincoln Center. Nyasha walked down the runway for Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta, Altzarrera, Cushnie et Ochs, Zac Posen, Prabal Gurung, DKNY, and Richard Chai. Next up for Nyasha, who Telegraph Fashion called model of the year, is London Fashion Week.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 6 alum and current Munaluchi Bridal Magazine celebrity blogger Nnenna Agba was seen working it at the Rubin Chapelle Fall 2012 presentation. We definitely recommend you reading Nnenna’s relationship columns at MBM!

Liya Kebede has kept busy with three new modeling gigs. She recently did the early Spring 2012 ad campaign for H&M. Bottega Veneta also made her their brand face for their Spring/Summer 2012 print AD campaign which was shot by Jack Pierson. She also pose alongside Kanye West for the March 2012 edition of US Vogue.

Jewel By Lisa has experienced sidewalk praise yet again thanks to Nigerian fashion editor and stylist Joy Adaeze! Several online publications captured Joy at Lincoln Center rocking a gorgeous beaded Jewel By Lisa clutch. This will mark the third time a beaded Jewel By Lisa clutch has been seen at New York Fashion Week! Joy rocked two different pattern JBL clutches while at NYFW. (Check out this close-up snapshot of Joy’s Jewel By Lisa beaded clutch.) Joy Adaeze re-tweeted a twitpic of herself wearing a green ankara Jewel By Lisa top that was first seen on model Ediomi Utuk at her Munaluchi Bridal Magazine Fall/Winter 2011 photo shoot.

Zimbabwean beauty Nyasha Matonhodze, who you can see in the Evening Standard, is one of the leading models that worked with Neiman Marcus’s Fashion Director Ken Downing for the department store’s 10 Crosby Derek Lam online campaign. She’s wearing Striped One-Button Jacket, Floral-Print Blouse & Indigo Carpenter Jeans. Nyasha’s previous online campaign work included Topshop and Louis Vuitton.

Tai Beauchamp Wears Jewel By Lisa To Grammy Glam

The Cultural Look has never look fierce thanks in part to Tai Beauchamp’s Jewel By Lisa Autumn/Winter 2011 jeweled jacket. For her 2012 Grammy Glam hosting gig, Tai completed her look with Rubin Chapelle black low-cut halter jumper and gold hoop statement earrings. I think this look is completely fab!

African models Millen Magese and Ediomi Utuk wore this jacket for a photo session with Jewel By Lisa and Munaluchi Bride Magazine. Ediomi wore her JBL jacket with a Toriola Custom Designs* gold lace dress, a gold H&M necklace and L.A.M.B. shoes. Tanzanian model Millen wore her look for the Jewel By Lisa Winter/Autumn 2011 official print AD campaign. This is however not the first time Tai’s fashion statement has embraced African Fashion. She wore a Suno x Loeffler Randall Spring/Summer 2011 wedges last year at the 2nd Annual Diversity Affluence Brunch.

If you’re digging Tai’s style as much as I am now, you can follow her on Twitter: @TaiBeau for all her latest fashion happenings. *We love Tori at CulturalToast.com! As always in good parting, this is my reaction to Tai in a Jewel By Lisa design courtesy of Beyonce.

YaYa added green accessories to her black off the shoulder lace dress when she attended W Magazine’s 69th Annual Golden Globes award celebration in New York City. Natural curls and bold red lipsticks completed both fashionista’s red carpet looks.

Couples On The Go: Nia Long & Ime Udoka + Tracee Ellis Ross & Bu Thiam

Halloween just wrapped up this past Monday but prior to that day nine-months-pregnant Nia Long was seen with her boyfriend Ime Udoka (Nigerian-American San Antonio Spurs basketball player) and her son Massai Jr at Hollywood’s hot spot, Mr. Bones. The bundle of joy will be Nia’s second child and Ime’s first. Nia and Ime expressed their happiness for the November 2011 issue of Ebony Magazine.

Tracee Ellis Ross celebrated her 39th birthday with boyfriend Bu Thiam (Akon’s brother & Senior VP of A&R at Def Jam) in Altanta. As you can recalled Tracee and Bu have been under the radar for awhile now. We first reported on these two when Tracee was in town filming her hit BET series, Reed The Lines.

We of course are drawn to what Tracee worn for her b’day bash/Watch The Throne After Party as evident by our Tumblr page! This black and white animal print mini was first worn by Keisha Buchanan at the D&G Party hosted by Net-A-Porter and Mr. Porter back in July. For her birthday celebration in Atlanta, Tracee paired the same get-up with droolworthy Azzedine Alaia lace-up calf hair platform boots. FYI: Tracee wore the same dress way back in July 2011 at Club Mansion.  We love that Tracee re-wore what she has in her closet! Shop the dress here!

This or That Edition: BCBG

For this edition of This or That, we have Face Africa’s Saran Kaba Jones and actress Bonnie Bentley in a colorblock red, grey, yellow and red BCBG Max Azria Pre-Fall 2011 printed maxi pleated dress. The geometric prints were inspired by Guy Bourdin’s photography. The maxi look is the it look to wear as our previous This or That Edition showcase! Hmmm…it seems Alice + Olivia also love this idea too!

Saran first wore this look with a oversize snakeskin clutch to present at Arise Made in Africa SS 2012 show during New York Fashion Week. Renowned stylist and Co-Founder of Global Fashion Show Rosemary Kokuhilwa (of popular African fashion blog Fashion Junkii) captured two snapshots of Saran on the red carpet. Follow Saran on Twitter: @sarankjones (Thanks Jennifer for sending the photos over to CulturalToast.com!)

Bonnie attended last night’s 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy’s in the same look which she accessorized with a black clutch.

Both ladies stuck with the runway’s belt but added their personal touches via accessories. You have to admire that slit! It’s completely unexpected, isn’t it? BCBG provided effortless style for a reasonable price (re: $458) only at revolveclothing.com. This look was lifted from BCBG Max Azria’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection. There’s something about that yellow and red combo…
